Our unique looping program creates two-year connections between teachers and students, ensuring social and emotional well-being throughout a child's educational journey from preschool to eighth grade. As an AVID school we prioritize critical thinking, organization and effective communication to propel student growth and engagement. Our vibrant gardens, integrated into cross-curricular activities, provide hands-on science experiences, including a critter farm managed by our students. Family engagement is paramount, with literacy-based events, a monthly Family Read Day, and a welcoming PTO community. Echo Canyon School is a school of choice serving students preschool through eighth grade in a school-wide looping model where students spend two years with the same group and same teacher to develop strong relationships. 

Nestled in the shadow of Camelback Mountain, in the Arcadia neighborhood, Echo Canyon is an SUSD school of choice serving preschool through eighth grade in a looping model. In our looping model, children stay with the same group of students and the same teacher for two years to foster strong home-school relationships. We focus on hands-on experiential learning through the use of our extensive schoolwide gardens. We put an emphasis on educating the whole child. The entire ECS community strives to ensure that each child is engaged, supported and challenged. Differentiated instruction is used to meet students’ individual needs.
